More ways to pay, more tools for agents, and a team of three in September
September was a pipes-and-wiring month with a few visible wins on top. Crypto payments went live, the MCP server grew from 21 to 31 tools, and a client request turned into a public pricing API within days. We also launched "Vote for a TLD" so clients decide which domain endings we add next, rebuilt our TLD pages around sourced facts, and welcomed Asad as our second developer. Thomas wrote the long version, including what did not get done, in the September building in public post.
What shipped
- Crypto payments are live, supported by Nicky.me. Top up with Bitcoin, USDT or USDC.
- MCP server grew from 21 to 31 tools, with most of the new ones covering DNS: list, add, change and delete records.
- A full testing pass across the MCP server, with several bugs found and fixed.
- Public pricing API with documentation, so an agent can check what a domain costs before it buys.
- Read-only API access, so a script or agent can look at your account and domains without being able to change anything.
- Live chat on the website and in the dashboard, routed to Telegram and answered by a person.
- Better billing: quick top-ups, more payment methods, automatic currency conversion, and open invoices that are rechecked automatically.
- Clearer domain checker on the website, with explicit taken and premium status.
- Domains in pending transfer now sync their status properly, on a schedule and on request.
- Vote for a TLD: we offer 650 TLDs today, and clients now vote on which ones we add next.
- Rebuilt TLD pages where every fact points back to an official registry source.
- WHMCS module page, ChatGPT landing pages, and a portfolio renewal walkthrough.
- Asad joined as our second developer. We are three now.
What is next
- The EPP endpoint, carried over from September.
- Branded invoice PDFs, also carried over.
- Hugin, our next availability checker, in a state where clients can use it.
- The audit log: a history of every change made to a domain, and who made it.
- Getting AiVikings.ai listed in the ChatGPT and Claude directories.
- More practical examples for developers building agents.
