Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the domain registration and related services provided by AIvikings ("AIvikings," "we," "us"). By creating an account, using our API or MCP server, or registering a domain through us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

1. Who we are

AIvikings is a domain name registration service. We provide registration and management of domain names as a reseller operating under the ICANN accreditation of our upstream accredited registrar partner. Contact: hello@aivikings.ai.

2. Definitions

"Registration Credit" means a non-cash credit issued by AIvikings that entitles the holder to one live .icu domain registration, has no cash value, and is not withdrawable, transferable, or exchangeable for money or for any other TLD.

"Ambassador Program" means the referral program described in the Ambassador Program Terms.

"Test Registration" means a non-live domain registration made available for development and evaluation purposes that does not register a domain in any live registry.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may use the services as a business or as a consumer. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account and registrant information, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and API keys secure.

4. The services

We offer domain availability checks, registration, renewal, and management through a web interface, a REST API, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. The services may be used by you directly or by autonomous software agents you authorise. You remain fully responsible for any action taken through your account or credentials, including actions taken by an automated agent you connect to our services.

Managed DNS. We also offer a standard managed DNS service for domains registered through or managed in your AIvikings account. The managed DNS service may allow you or your authorised agents to create, edit, and delete DNS zones and records. You are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and security of all DNS records configured through your account. DNS changes may take time to propagate and may depend on registry, resolver, caching, and third-party network behaviour outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted DNS resolution and we are not liable for loss caused by incorrect DNS configuration, propagation delay, resolver behaviour, registry failure, or third-party network failure. We may suspend, remove, or refuse DNS records or zones where required by law, registry policy, security requirements, or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Pre-billing access. Certain features may be made available before account funding and billing are live. These may include a one-time free registration of a single .icu domain, use of the domain availability checker, and Test Registrations. Free and test features are provided as is and may be changed or withdrawn. A free domain registration covers the initial registration period only; renewal requires payment once billing is available, and the domain may lapse if not renewed.

5. Domain registration and registry rules

Every domain you register is also governed by the rules of the relevant top-level domain registry and by ICANN consensus policies. By registering a domain you agree to those rules, which are summarised in our Registry Policies, and to the Acceptable Use Policy. Registration is only effective once the registry confirms it, and we do not guarantee that any specific domain will be available or successfully registered.

Special conditions for individual top-level domains may apply and are described in our Special Conditions for Individual Top-Level Domains.

When ordering a domain, you declare and warrant that the registration and use of the domain name does not violate the name, trademark, intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party, and does not otherwise contravene applicable law. Domain names are registered in the customer's own name and at the customer's request. In this respect, AIvikings acts as an intermediary. We will inform you when registration of the domain name has taken place. We assume no responsibility for the domain name if it is transferred, cancelled, deleted, suspended, or otherwise affected by your actions, registry action, registrar action, or third-party action outside our control.

The domain name will be registered with or transferred to our upstream accredited registrar partner, another registrar partner, the relevant registry, or the domain administrator for the top-level domain concerned, depending on the domain extension and the applicable registration process.

If you order the wrong domain because of a spelling mistake, name error, or similar issue, the registration fee is not refundable once the registration has been submitted. We will, where reasonably possible, try to correct an erroneous order before registration has taken place. If AIvikings is responsible for submitting an erroneous domain order, we will either refund the registration fee or offer registration of the correct domain name.

You are responsible for keeping AIvikings, and where applicable any top-level domain authority or registry, updated about changes to your address, registrant information, or other contact information.

6. Fees, billing, and payment

Fees for each service are shown before you confirm a purchase. Current pricing information is available on the AIvikings Prices page. We currently accept payment by card through Stripe and by crypto-asset through Nicky. You authorise us, and our payment processors, to charge the applicable fees using your selected payment method. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase. Prices may change, but changes do not affect a registration term you have already paid for.

Operating model. Registrations are paid from a pre-paid account balance. You top up your balance, and registration, renewal, and related fees are drawn from it. Unused balance is handled as described in the Refund and Billing Policy.

Registration Credits. AIvikings may issue Registration Credits, including through the Ambassador Program. A Registration Credit entitles the holder to one live .icu domain registration. Registration Credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for money or for any other TLD, and may be used only for new .icu registrations through AIvikings. AIvikings may adjust, reverse, or cancel Registration Credits in cases of error, refund, reversal, chargeback, fraud, or breach of these Terms or the Ambassador Program Terms. Registration Credits expire 12 months after they are issued if not used.

7. Renewals and expiry

Domains are registered for a fixed term. It is your responsibility to renew before expiry. We may, as a convenience and not as a binding commitment, send renewal reminders to your account email. If a domain is not renewed, it will expire and may be subject to deletion, a redemption period, and ultimately release, as described in the Registry Policies and the Domain Expiration Policy. We are not liable for any loss arising from a domain you failed to renew.

It may be possible to configure automatic renewal for a domain registered through your AIvikings account. If automatic renewal is enabled for a domain, we will attempt to renew that domain for one (1) additional year and withdraw the renewal cost from your pre-paid account balance. Automatic renewal depends on your account having sufficient cleared balance, your payment method and account remaining valid, the domain being eligible for renewal, and the relevant registry accepting the renewal. We can never guarantee that a renewal will succeed at the registry, and we are not liable for any loss, suspension, deletion, redemption fee, or release of a domain where a renewal fails, including where the failure is caused by registry error, registry policy, insufficient balance, payment failure, technical failure, inaccurate contact data, domain ineligibility, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Acceptable use

Your use of the services is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We may suspend, lock, or cancel a domain or account that breaches that policy, that is the subject of a valid abuse report, or where required by a registry, ICANN policy, court order, or law.

You may not abuse free registrations, Test Registrations, or the Ambassador Program, including by creating multiple accounts or identities to obtain free registrations or referral rewards, or by registering domains for unlawful purposes. AIvikings may suspend accounts, revoke registrations where permitted by the relevant registry and registrar agreements, and withhold or reverse rewards in response to such abuse.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the services unlawfully, or where we are required to by a registry, ICANN, or applicable law. We may also suspend, lock, disable DNS for, delete, or request cancellation of a domain you have registered in cases of abuse, suspected abuse, unlawful activity, security risk, sanctions risk, registry policy breach, inaccurate registrant data, or a valid order or request from a registry, registrar, competent authority, court, or law-enforcement body. Abuse includes the activities described in the Acceptable Use Policy and Abuse Policy. Where lawful and reasonably possible, we may notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue, but serious abuse, security threats, illegal content, or mandatory registry or legal requirements may require immediate action without prior notice. Obligations and liabilities incurred before termination survive it. Termination does not by itself cancel a domain registration, which continues to be governed by the relevant registry rules.

10. Disclaimers

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIvikings is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid to us for the relevant service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify AIvikings against claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the services, or your registration or use of a domain, except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, ICANN or registry policy, or applicable law. We will post the updated Terms with a new "last updated" date and, where the change is material, give reasonable notice. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

15. Consumer right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For domain registrations, which are supplied immediately and become non-cancellable once the registration is requested at the registry, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the domain is registered. This does not affect withdrawal rights for services that have not yet been performed.

16. Ambassador Program

AIvikings operates a referral and ambassador program. Participation is governed by the AIvikings Ambassador Program Terms, which are incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. In the event of a conflict between these Terms of Service and the Ambassador Program Terms regarding the Program, the Ambassador Program Terms control with respect to the Program.
