Pricing API

Browse current public selling prices and quote a domain before registration. The prices already include the AiVikings margin, including promotional and premium pricing where applicable. No API key, MCP connection, or customer account is required.

Base URL

https://api.aivikings.ai/pricing/v1

All amounts are decimal strings. Display the returned amount with its currency and use decimal arithmetic when processing values. These endpoints return shared public selling prices, not account-specific negotiated prices.

Endpoints

Endpoint	Description
`GET /prices`	Return the current TLD catalog, including registration, transfer, renewal, and promotional pricing.
`GET /quote?domain=`	Check a registration candidate and return prices and supported registration terms for that domain.
`GET /pricing/health`	Return pricing service health information.

Retrieve the TLD catalog

The response contains every currently available TLD in prices. first_year_price is the effective first-year amount, while minimum_registration_years and maximum_registration_years define the permitted term range.

Quote a domain

Pass a domain name, not a URL or email address. A successful 200 response means the domain was available when checked. The response does not include a separate available field, so use the HTTP status to determine the outcome.

Handle quote responses

Status	Description
`200`	Available when checked. Use only the terms in `registration_prices`; each price is the total for its `period_years`.
`409`	The domain is unavailable for registration. The response contains `error: "domain_unavailable"`.
`404` or `422`	The requested TLD has no catalog price, or the domain parameter is missing or invalid.
`502` or `503`	The price check could not be completed reliably. Do not present the domain as available or unavailable.

Freshness and caching

Catalogs refresh every 24 hours by default. Concrete domain quotes are cached for 15 minutes and are informational only: a quote does not reserve a domain. Check stale, cached_at, and expires_at before presenting a result. When stale is true, confirm pricing and availability before purchase.

For premium domains, quote the specific domain. Do not infer multi-year prices by multiplying a first-year promotional amount.
