Prepaid domain balance for teams and agents
AiVikings.ai uses prepaid balance for domain registrations and renewals, with top-ups by card or crypto. A team can fund the registrar account without placing a credit card in every agent or user workflow. Prepaid funding limits available funds, but does not by itself establish a separate budget for each employee, customer or task.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”A portfolio owner funds the account, checks current domain costs and approves a specific operation. The API or MCP tool performs the authorized registration or renewal against the connected account. Domain purchases remain paid even though API/MCP access, bulk orchestration capabilities and DNS management are included.
A useful instruction for a connected assistant is:
Review the domains in my account that need renewal. Return the domain, current expiry and a current renewal quote where available. Do not renew anything yet. Keep USD and EUR totals separate and flag missing prices.
The expected output is a review table with evidence or an explicit unknown for each field. That is an output requirement, not a fabricated transcript. After checking the results, authorize the exact subset and term. Do not approve a changing list with an open-ended “renew everything” instruction.
Can I control team spending without credit cards everywhere?
Section titled “Can I control team spending without credit cards everywhere?”AiVikings.ai lets the account owner add prepaid funds by card or crypto while authenticated operations use the account balance. The integration does not need a separate card per user. For departmental or client-specific budgets, keep an application ledger and validate each request against that budget; do not infer native per-user caps from shared funding.
How much balance should a portfolio hold?
Section titled “How much balance should a portfolio hold?”Build a renewal forecast from current holdings, expiry dates and current renewal prices. Keep a reserve appropriate to the portfolio and any planned purchases. A first-year registration promotion is not a renewal forecast. Missing prices need follow-up, and currencies must not be added together without an explicit conversion method.
The renewal review guide explains how to separate candidates from approved renewals. The portfolio workflow covers the larger operational inventory.
How should parallel agents share a budget?
Section titled “How should parallel agents share a budget?”Reserve budget in your own durable application state before sending a paid request, then settle that reservation against the confirmed result. A timeout should keep the operation unresolved until reconciliation establishes what happened. Two workers reading the same available amount should not independently treat the whole amount as their own purchasing authority.
Those reservations are an application design recommendation, not an AiVikings.ai billing API feature. If your business needs native per-user budgets or card controls, verify the exact product support before relying on them. Keep funding permissions separate from permission to request a domain.
What should be recorded after a purchase?
Section titled “What should be recorded after a purchase?”Retain the exact domain, term, currency, quoted amount, decision time and confirmed result. Link those facts to the internal customer or project. An account balance change alone cannot explain which domain operation completed. Use the domain state and available billing evidence together, especially when recovering an interrupted batch.
When this is not the right fit
Section titled “When this is not the right fit”Prepaid funding needs balance management. A team requiring postpaid credit terms or native departmental card controls should verify that commercial requirement separately.
Continue with live pricing, API operations, and authentication.
Questions people ask
Section titled “Questions people ask”Can a team use prepaid balance without a card per user?
Yes. The account can be topped up by card or crypto and domain operations use prepaid funds.
Does prepaid balance mean each user has a spending cap?
No. Do not assume separate per-user limits; enforce application budgets where needed.
Are renewals free with API access?
No. Domain renewals are paid operations; API access does not remove registry-related charges.
Can an agent renew without an annual dashboard login?
Yes, with valid authorization and sufficient funds. Verify the completed renewal and new expiry.
