Domain Registration Data Disclosure Policy

AIvikings is committed to protecting the privacy of registrant data while meeting its obligations under ICANN policy, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Directive (EU) 2022/2555 (NIS-2), and applicable Irish law. Most registrant contact data is not published in public WHOIS or RDAP output. This page explains how a legitimate requester can ask for access to non-public registration data and which procedure applies.

Public versus non-public data

For the top-level domains we offer, public registration data is redacted by default in line with GDPR and registry policy. Limited technical and non-personal fields may remain public. Personal registrant contact details are generally not published and are disclosed only through the procedures below.

Which procedure applies to you

Authorities and CSIRTs under NIS-2. If you are a competent authority, CSIRT, law enforcement body, or other access seeker entitled to data under NIS-2 or Irish implementing law, follow our NIS-2 Disclosure Procedure.

Other third parties with a legitimate interest. If you are a third party, such as an intellectual property rights holder, security researcher, or legal representative, with a lawful basis to request non-public data, follow our Third-Party Data Request Procedure.

Court orders and subpoenas. A valid court order or subpoena of competent jurisdiction may be submitted to legal@aivikings.ai. Note that registration data is not required in order to commence legal proceedings against a domain holder.

Domain disputes. Disclosure of registration data may also occur as part of a UDRP or URS proceeding, as described in our UDRP Policy and Registry Policies.

How we assess requests

We disclose non-public registration data only where there is a valid legal basis and the request is lawful, proportionate, and sufficiently specific. We balance the requester's interest against the data subject's rights. We may refuse, narrow, or seek clarification on requests that do not meet these requirements, and we will provide a statement of reasons where we refuse. We log requests and our responses.

Our role

AIvikings provides domain registration services as a reseller operating under the ICANN accreditation of our upstream accredited registrar partner. For accreditation-based registration data obligations, we rely on our upstream accredited registrar partner. Some requests may be referred to, or handled jointly with, that partner or the relevant registry where they hold the relevant obligation or data.
