The registrar core matured and the site got sharper in August

August was about rounding out the registrar core: smarter pricing, premium domain support, full DNS record management, and cleaner contact and nameserver handling. Billing, the dashboard, and in-app support also got a visible polish pass, and the website picked up new audience pages and better discoverability for agents and automated tools.

What shipped

  • Smarter domain pricing: catalog, rules, premium and fixed TLD pricing, overrides, currency normalization, retries, and fallback logic.
  • Premium domain registration, with explicit confirmation before purchase.
  • Better contact handling: list contacts, assign roles, repair stale links, sync registrant profiles.
  • Default nameserver management for accounts.
  • Our own nameservers are live: ns1-ns4.aivikings.ai, configurable via MCP.
  • Full DNS record management (create, read, update, delete), with easier relative record names.
  • Dashboard refresh with new AIvikings branding, logo, favicon, and styling.
  • Better signup and account flows: clearer email notifications, stronger API-key validation.
  • Stronger operational reliability: logging, MCP health checks, more test coverage.
  • Website: 16 commits, including new audience pages, better CTAs, agent discovery metadata, Google source callouts, and layout polish.

What is next

  • In-app support messaging (Telegram integration).
  • Improved billing and invoicing, e.g. paid-invoice PDF downloads and branded invoice layouts.
  • Crypto payments, supported by Nicky.me.
  • Launching our WHMCS module.
  • Hardening our API endpoints and expanding with a regular EPP endpoint to support registrars that need that.
July 2026

Registrar operations moved forward in July

July strengthened the operational registrar layer: account funding, domain registration, self-serve API keys, customer dashboard flows, and a broader TLD and pricing layer for agents and humans to inspect.

What shipped

  • Production registration, including real domains registered with standard AIvikings nameservers.
  • Self-serve API keys, billing, accounts, and a full self-service customer dashboard.
  • Expanded TLD coverage with a public price list and separate detail pages for every TLD we offer.
  • Public API reference and SDK groundwork for builders integrating REST and MCP flows.
  • Rate limiting and abuse protection for safer public access.
  • A comprehensive ambassador program with dedicated site and legal pages.

  • Improve onboarding, account funding, and production registration workflows through August.
  • Polish onboarding, billing flows, API-key setup, and dashboard workflows for broader customer use.
  • Keep expanding examples, SDK coverage, and operational hardening around production registrations.
June 2026

The first AIvikings build is live

The first AIvikings build proved the agent flow: an AI agent could run the check, register, nameserver, and confirm flow through us by API, by MCP, or straight from ChatGPT. We also shipped the first public site and product updates.

What shipped

  • Agent-native registrar service running live over HTTPS with production registrations, billing, account top-up, API keys, and dashboard access.
  • REST API for checking availability, running registration flows, renewals, and nameserver management, with API-key auth.
  • MCP server exposing the same operations as native tools for MCP agents.
  • ChatGPT connector, so you can run the registration flow by asking in chat.
  • An autonomous demo agent that takes a plain-English goal and runs the full flow with no human in the loop.

  • Closing the loop on full production registration.
